KOREAN WAR U. S. MARINE CORPS M1 HELMET withCAMOUFLAGED COVER

This is a nice World War II re issued for the Korean War U. Marine Corps M1 Steel Helmet with the 2nd HBT type camouflaged cover the is in very good field used condition. The shell is undented and with swivel bales. The chinstraps are OD green canvas with blackened steel hook and claw fittings at the ends.

The 2nd type camouflage cover is with the slits for additional camouflage and is with good color. The front is very lightly stenciled with the eagle, globe, and anchor.

It shows wear at several areas of wear along the rim as normally encountered. The side ears of the cover have been slit to accommodate the chinstraps a common practice. The liner is by the Seamen Paper Company and marked with their logo in the dome.

It is complete with leather chinstrap and the leather sweatband which both strong and solid. It retains the knap strap at the back. This is a fine-looking, battle worn combat helmet that remains in very good field used condition and displays nicely. The item "KOREAN WAR U.
