Korean War U. S. Army Prc-6 Walkie Talkies (working)

This is an original Korean War/Vietnam War, working set of PRC-6'Handie Talkies'. Designed after WW2 as a Squad/Section Radio. It has a range of about 1 mile depending on the terrain. Designed for use in a Platoon these radios saw service in Korea and Vietnam as well as other theaters of operations.

This set is tested and in working condition. Both sets send and receive well. They both have a power inverter which allows them to be powered up by a 6 Volt dry battery. Included is a handset which works with one of the sets. We tested them in open terrain at 600 Meters and they worked OK.

There is a Pamphlet online, TM 11-296 Radio set AN/PRC-6, as well as lots of other info and videos. The green foam in the photo is simply to prevent the batteries from moving in the casing. Both sets come with a 3' whip anttenaes, straps, dry batteries and 1 x handset.
