Korean War Sponsored Child letters 1960's - 1970's Yung Chun Hee Mang Won Hard to find original sponsor letters from a young boy, believed to be an orphan of the Korean War. Most of the letters show photographs of the boy growing through the years.
He writes in his native language and a translator types his letters to his sponsors who lived in Minnesota. It's sad to read the letters, but still they leave a smile.
The Identity behind the sponsorship was World Vision Inc. I contacted the World Vision Inc. But they have no way to find records for the era they told me. All very good, 11 by 8.25 letters. Reminding us of an awful war's history and the children left behind.
Three cards, several photographs and letters, a mint stamp in tissue. Excellent condition, these have been safely kept for years.
