1949 Guam License Plate, Korean War Conflict, Navy, Army, Marines, Battle, WW II

While doing some downsizing I came upon this 1949 Guam licence plate that belonged to my stepdad who participated in the conflict while serving in the Navy. He passed several years ago so I don't know the history of the plate. I can't tell if the blue paint on it was painted at a later date or is original although the pictures I have seen from the 1949 plates are all the same color blue.

There are some bends and scrapes on it I tried to include pictures of these issues. It is obvious that it was on a vehicle since the screw holes are bent as if it was attached to a vehicle.
